RESOURCE COORDINATION

The heart of PAN is sharing about resources available to low-income people in Nanaimo.

We offer this support in these ways:

  • Visit the Resources page and browse our extensive listings of available programs and services, organized by topic.
  • Contact us via email at povertyadvocacynanaimo@gmail.com if you need suggestions for available resources for a specific situation. Please include as much relevant detail in your email as possible. Our volunteers will respond to your email within 24 to 72 hours.

COMMUNITY PRESENTATIONS

PAN offers presentations about local resources for low-income Nanaimo residents. We are happy to work with other non-profits, government organizations and any local group that could benefit from this information.

Client Navigators

Our Client Navigators can meet with clients one-on-one and help them to complete and submit online and paper applications for programs and resources. Our focus is on supporting access to programs that improve life for low-income residents.

These volunteers have police record checks on file, are comfortable using a computer, and are eager to help. They are equipped with a laptop, and PAN provides any paper, envelopes and postage needed. Client Navigators meet clients in public areas such as libraries and coffee shops.

Examples of documents that we can help with:
BC Housing Subsidized Housing
