BC SPCA Nanaimo offers free pet boarding for people fleeing abuse.

ElderDog Nanaimo walks dogs for seniors for free. Also offers free emergency dog fostering for people in hospital or shelters, free transportation to vet appointments, dog food pickups, minor grooming.

Helping Paws Nanaimo Community Animal Clinic Facebook Page: Free clinic for pets of low-income Nanaimo residents that offers routine vaccinations, parasite control and treatment for minor medical conditions.

Fantastic Beasts Veterinary Services offer Pawsitive Care Parksville: Annual Wellness Package for $100: 30 min exams, 2 vaccines, microchip, entrance into spay/neuter program, 20% off other services and products.

McVitie veterinary assistance program aims to assist low-income individuals with essential health care issues. Essential health care is considered to be treatment without which the ill or injured animal will die or require humane euthanasia. 

Balfour’s Friends Foundation (BFF) provides financial aid for low-income pet owners on Vancouver Island, to help their sick and injured pets receive essential veterinary care and stay together with their families

The Spay and Neuter Cruiser Veterinary Clinic: provides safe, compassionate and budget friendly care for your pets, in order to help reduce the overpopulation of cats and kittens in Victoria and Southern Vancouver Island. The clinic is owned by a charity, ran by veterinary professionals who care deeply about cats and their community.

RAPS Animal Hospital: is a non profit vet clinic on the mainland in Richmond that can offer discounted Veterinary Services for low income people
